Artist Influence/Inspiration

Portraiture

The photographer I took inspiration I took inspiration from for portraiture was work of the photographer Richard Avedon. I am basing my work off of his photos that incorporate motion in still photos, like in the examples below. What I like about this work is that it feels more natural and less staged, it also brings a sense of life to a still image.

This is the main photo I have drawn my inspiration from as my model has long hair that I wanted to make the main focus of the photo.

Final Piece

For my final project, my influence is drawn from Andy Warhol and his postmodern paintings about consumerism and mass production as seen in the examples below:

Campbell’s Soup Cans

I want to use him as inspiration as not only does he demonstrate synchronicity in visuals in his work, he also depicts synchronicity of society in a capitalist mass production age.
