I am lacking in substantial amount of work in progress, this is due to my late change of key word that my photos were to based on. I did however manage to gather some evidence of my work towards my final piece.
This Image was my starting point, as it paid homage to Andy Warhol. I really like the intention of this photo, however because the composition consists of only one baked bean can, it fails to really depict synchronicity as well as mass production. however I was still determined to make this homage my starting point
Again, though this photo demonstrates the consumer capitalism, it didn’t do much to promote synchronicity
With these photos I decided to take to the high street and look around various shops like WHSmith’s and Heron to find products they may be selling that are very visibly mass produced. the photo of the oil is my favourite one, it is the most aesthetically pleasing in terms of synchronicity. It also has more depth than the other 2 photos, as it wasn’t take straight on.
As I was unhappy with the results I got from the highstreet I decided to purchase some mass produced items and take them home to photograph. I tried to frame them all against the same background to achieve consistency throughout the images. I believe I managed to light the subjects rather pleasantly, they aren’t too dark nor too exposed. One of my favourite elements about these photos is the reflection they produce on the surface I took them on which was a hob. The issue with all of them is the white balance is way off giving a yellow tinge
These are my end products, I sorted out the white balance by adjusting the colour balance in Photoshop. overall I am very happy with my end results, they are synchronous and perfectly capture mass production.
